
Location: Getting Around
An excellent network of communications facilitates access to all the tourist attractions of this region.
It is situated at the South of Spain and it is second largest autonomous community of Spain.
Airports
The two main airports are: Malaga (one of the most important in Europe) and Seville. There are also smaller airports in Almeria, Granada and Jerez.
Málaga: The Malaga’s airport is the entrance to the city and the whole of the Costa del Sol. Since it’s opening, its infrastructure has been growing steadily to satisfy demand and to be ahead of the needs of the area. It has routes to more than sixty destinations in the world.
Seville: Seville’s airport services mainly internal flights.
Roads
24.000 kms of a modern and comfortable network of motorways, toll roads and roads.
Railway System
In the railway system, the big star is the AVE (High speed train) that covers the distance between Madrid and Seville. This line has allowed at the same time the connection between Madrid and Malaga, and many trains now use the High Speed line between Cordoba and the capital city. Moreover, the railway connections among the Andalucian capitals are excellent.
Ports
The ports situated both in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, complete this wide network of transportation: many are priority destinations of the largest cruise lines, and also have regular connections with the North of Africa and the Canary Islands.
